Hello! Welcome to my blog. How are you? For Your information, this is another attempt of me to blog. Before this I use the Blogspot module for me to blog. For about two years I blog there and now I think is the time for me to start using Wordpress. It is because Wordpress is the most popular blogging system and has been widely used. I am using the free webhosting by 000Webhost. Better than paid hosting-This is what they say and I hope they are the best free web hosting in town. They provide the user with 250MB storage, 100GB bandwith per month, cPanel, php, mysql, and the most important is they got no ads on our site. First, when I register there, I need to give them the verification code that they sent through SMS but I do not know what happen, I don’t get the SMS, so I just give a try to send a message to their support center and what happened? Today when I checked back my account is ACTIVE. I checked my e-mail and they have confirmed that my account is active due to my message to their support center. What a fast and great service they provide us . I should compliment 000Webhost for their fast service.
I have downloaded a few ebooks on installing wordpress, and learn from them. This is the result. I managed to set up my very own wordpress blog. They teach me to download the wordpress.zip itself, rename the wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php and a little bit of editing, uploading file to my web hosting using FileZilla, choose nice theme for my wordpress, installing plugin and now I am writing my post. If you want to learn more about setting up a blog you can also ask me beside other pro blogger out there. So, here are the list of my plugins used in my blog:
- Akismet - the default plugin from wordpress. Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not
- Get Recent Comments- Display the most recent comments or trackbacks with your own formatting in the sidebar.
- Google Code Prettify - This plugin using google-code-prettify to highlight source code in my posts.
- Google XML Sitemaps - This plugin will generate a sitemaps.org compatible sitemap of myWordPress blog which is supported by Ask.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO.
- Lightbox 2 - Used to overlay images on the current page. Lightbox JS v2.2 by Lokesh Dhakar.
- WP-Cache - Very fast cache module. It
I hope this blog will be very popular in a year time.
