Asus Eee PC: Excellence in Mobility
January 22nd, 2008 Aizat Computer, HardwareE for Everyone
The main issue when we talked about the Eee PC (pronounced as “E” PC, and not “E, E, E” PC) is of course its tiny size. Weighing less than 1 kg and measuring half the length of an A4 paper, it’s certainly one of the smallest “full-fledged” notebooks in our hands. And despite its rather lightweight specifications, the Linux powered device run smoothly without quirks or oddities which usually plague the smaller form factors. Eee PC makes a debut and had been sold all over the world while Makcik PC, the Malaysian made PC is the contender of Eee PC has not been announced yet when it will be available on market? I am pretty sure that Makcik PC will be more affordable to buy for Malaysian rather than Eee PC.
E for Enticing the Eye
Encased in a pearly-white body the Eee PC looks clean and simple yet distinct enough to catch the eye. Not a fan of white? Don’t worry because Eee PC comes in galaxy black and other colors such as fancy blush pink, sky blue, and lush green. But the most enticing factor of the Eee PC is its comfortable keyboard layout which surprisingly does not feel cramp at all. The Eee PC ’s charger is shaped to look closer like a mobile phone charger than the bulky PC adapter kinds.

aizat, aku dgr cite ada orang berjaya install leopard dlam “iiiiii pc la” nihhhh…
muahahaha…siap ada tutorial khas lg camne nk install…hahaha
Last time I saw in Amazon, it sell about $399. So the price in Lowyat not much different from online
But the downside is the size of HDD, only 4GB. 4GB is a like 10 years ago PC, when it was initially introduced
i wish i can own one of that tiny ASUS..hehe
Jawab Zaki Blogjer

Saya mungkin akan dapatkan satu. Makcik PC, bagi saya, sesuai digunakan oleh orang yang kurang ilmu dalam PC. Ia mudah. Paling penting….
melayubuntu ~ ye ke. tu aku nak try nie. leopard yang aku download nie memang khas utk hackintosh.
zaki blogjer ~ yup. i wonder for 4GB is it enough to install our basic programme like Office, etc.
Shaz ~ this Eee PC ? nope. you can’t have that one because I wan to buy you that Vaio Pink that you love so much..
Azhar Ahmad ~ Saya pon suke makcik pc ni. dengan touchscreen dll. menarik untuk mobiliti.
One of my friend bought it. Its cramped, underpower and battery life of 3 hours (too short). If you really think about buying a small and good laptop, get the latest 12 inch dell, its about RM2400 if I’m not mistaken.
Wow! dell got 12″ laptop.. i need to take a look at that.. i’am looking for the smallest possible laptop. like sony i found on sony style, berjaya times square the size is the same with psp but the price make me suffer RM7000 and above.. hehe
